Become an Art Cabinetmaker Conservator and Restorer of Furniture's Heritage
Thanks to the high quality of their training, the “Compagnons des Walser" prepare, along with you, your access to a stable and sustainable job in Arts and Crafts. Through this training you will participate to the preservation of knowledge and traditional methods of art cabinetmaker and furniture’s heritage restoration.
The training workshop, near Nancy, university town but also city of art and culture, is located in a very pleasant countryside. The workshop has been fully renovated in 2000. It offers upgraded amenities and exceptional conditions for studying.
We mainly value the quality of teaching and each promotion welcomes a maximu
m of ten students individually monitored by three highly qualified trainers. So everyone gets maximum of personal support in order to progress every day.
Artistic drawing, plan design, technical drawing, modelling, sculpture, art history, styles of furniture, restoration of genuine antique furniture (16th to 20th century), visits to museums, castles, churches, antiques, are just some of the exciting stages of training that await you.
The school is open to all, boys and girls, without exception. We are not seeking degrees but prefer, in line with the Companionship, personal qualities and a marked sensitivity to the artistic.
